About the Springbay team
We are bartenders
In 1875, Willem Jacobus Stein founded a distillery in Doesburg, laying the groundwork for another legacy in bartending. His great-grandson, Jorgos, Inspired by the rich history of American bartending also became an award-winning bartender.
In 1965, Wolfgang Bartos began his journey as a award winning bartender, traveling from Vienna to New York and falling in love with American cocktail making. His son, Ian Bartos, followed in his footsteps, developing a passion for flair bartending and winning numerous international titles, including the world championship 2003, cocktail-accuracy-round in Las Vegas. Ian’s flair wasn’t just about show; it was also about precision and workflow.
Together, Ian and Jorgos co-founded Barsupport in 2002, leading to the establishment of Springbay.
Their shared passion for bartending innovation resulted in the Springbay Cocktail Station, revolutionizing how cocktails are served. Today, Springbay continues to combine tradition with innovation, inspiring a new generation of bartenders and enthusiasts alike.
